What Israel is Doing to Gaza And Iran

Israel’s war on Gaza live: Iran fires over 300 drones, missiles at Israel.

Israel says more than 300 drones and missiles launched at it from Iran, Iraq and Yemen, adding that the vast majority of them have been intercepted.

Iran says it carried out the attack in response to an Israeli raid on the Iranian consulate in Syria on April 1 and says the matter can now “be deemed concluded”we’ve heard from the political and military establishments and they’ve all praised this attack, saying this was a successful defence of Israel.

But we haven’t heard from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The war cabinet does meet in about 90 minutes’ time. Normally we do start hearing things from that meeting a couple of hours after it starts. But Netanyahu’s silence has come as a real surprise to many people here.

Normally, he’s very quick to react to things like this, particularly when it comes to Iran, which has long been described – for more than 20 years – as Israel’s greatest enemy.

There’s been vast travel disruptions. The airspace in Israel is now open. However, many airlines have cancelled flights. It’s the Passover holiday, a big weekend for travel for Israelis. We were expecting about 53,000 people to be travelling, that number has gone down to about 30,000. The airlines that have stopped their flights haven’t confirmed when they will get their flights back up and running.
